We’re going to be launching our TikTok (I can’t believe I’ve gone there! never thoughts I’d look at let alone be on TikTok to be 100% honest) channel fully soon, but we’ve popped up our first unboxing video as a test to make sure we roughly know what we’re doing.
Unboxing
We’ll be doing a pile of unboxing videos as apparently these things get good views and we’d like to get good views. But it is a chance to see how manufactures present their pedals. Are they packaged well, is the unboxing experience when you get your new gear a treat or a bore, does it even matter to you? But also, how many still use plastic in their packaging, which firms think more sustainably.
We know it’s a very small industry in the grand scheme of things, but we do feel disappointed when we see lots of bubble wrap inside boxes when others do completely without.
Yes, there’s plenty of stuff in all electronics environmentally speaking that needs or is being addressed, so the packaging is a small part. But when you see a pedal in a box such as Old Blood Noise Endeavours, come with no plastic wrapping or padding, it’s shows it’s not something we have to do. It makes a small but important difference.
Anyway, we hope these quick 60-second unboxing videos will be interesting on a few levels, even if it’s just seeing how beautiful a Jam Pedal is, and the huge efforts that go into the presentation of each.
Side by Side
So we plan to run a bunch of side-by-side reviews, limited talking if any, showcasing two similar pedals each time (such as a fuzz) and give you a listen to what each does and how they compare.
We’re going to try to keep these quick, under 3 minutes, to get straight to the point if possible.
Full Explainers
So for these we’ll pick a particular pedal and try to show what it does well, what it doesn’t, and what you can get out of it. These will be longer form videos and may include me banging on about stuff, but we’ll see…
TikTok and You Tube
We’ll get going soon on TikTok properly and then follow up with content on our You Tube channel also. Why not pop over and support us:
Thanks… and feel free to let us know what you’d like to see…
