Jam Pedals have always been about refining their tones, and delivering the iconic tones of early 80’s distortion. The Jam Pedals Rattler MK2 takes this to a new level, the old snake sheds its skin and offers up a new era of powerful, decadent saturation.

This beauty now incorporates a new, custom designed op-amp that maintains the beloved tone and characteristics of the amazing original, but now adds in a custom-voiced mid boost. Further there’s a second clipping option as well! This one should claim a long term, maybe a forever spot on your pedal board.

You’ll notice the MK2 now has two foot-switches, the second engaging the mid boost before the Rattler. A great second tone ready to kick in when you are.

You can also now choose from two clipping options, symmetrical or the original asymmetrical clipping options to give you two distinctive feel and saturation types.

This comes from the fact that Jam have created a custom op-amp to replace the almost impossible to find LM308 chip. This new design features discrete components and preserves the open, dynamic, tube like amp feel that earned the original a special place in many guitarist’s heart.

The Jam Pedals Rattler MK2 gives you the same fat and creamy distortion as it always has, but now with more versatility and tonal options.

What we love about Jam Pedals, apart from the great tone, is the attention to detail. Each pedal comes with a bag and pick that suits the pedal, they’re not generic to the brand. Does this little thing actually matter though? Only in as much as it shows a mindset, and indicates the attention to detail that goes on inside the enclosure too!

We are an online store only, so your new pedal has never been demoed on a shop floor or been out on display. We do though test all pedals (and any power supplies where included with pedals) before we send them out to hopefully minimise any hassles of faulty pedals on delivery.
