The Jam Pedals RetroVibe delivers the majestic sounds of the best Uni-Vibe pedals from back in the day, but housed in a modern pedalboard-friendly enclosure and featuring standard 9V DC operation internally lifted to 15V DC.
RetroVibe achieves its superb tone by bringing together classic photocells, a bulb, original NOS 2SC828 transistors and carbon comp resistors and the previously mentioned increase in voltage.
The Jam Pedals RetroVibe allows you to choose between the Vibrato and Chorus settings and navigate from slow-rate wavy sounds all the way to fast Leslie-speaker effects!
We also love that you can pair it with any common passive 10k Expression pedal in conjunction with a standard TRS cable for real-time Speed control.
Further, the engineers at Jam Pedals have incorporated an internal trimmer that affects the maximum intensity of the effect, but also very dramatically manipulates the sound of the RetroVibe. And all the while maintaining the pedal’s important, true vintage character that you’ll love.
Maybe this is why these artists use RetroVive: Nels Cline, David Hidalgo, Andy Timmons, J Mascis, Ruban Nielson, Simon McBride, Cesar Rosas, Dweezil Zappa, Greg Koch, Ler LaLonde, Julien Kasper, Adam Levy, Josh Smith.
And as Andy Timmons said: “I literally was looking everywhere for the right kind of vibe. As you know I’m a tone freak and we’re always searching for the best…I just knew immediately that that’s the sound that I was looking for…whenever I need that tone, RetroVibe is by far my favourite one!”
What we love about Jam Pedals, apart from the great tone, is the attention to detail. Each pedal comes with a bag and pick that suits the pedal, they’re not generic to the brand. Does this little thing actually matter though? Only in as much as it shows a mindset, and indicates the attention to detail that goes on inside the enclosure too!

We are an online store only, so your new pedal has never been demoed on a shop floor or been out on display. We do though test all pedals (and any power supplies where included with pedals) before we send them out to hopefully minimise any hassles of faulty pedals on delivery.
We use recycled materials where possible for our packaging, and all our energy is from renewable sources. Check out our environmental page.
