So the Walrus Audio Lillian Analog Phaser is a true bypass, truly all analog, multi-stage Phaser related to Walrus Audios other stunner, Julia. With controls like Rate, Width, Feedback, and D-P-V blend, the Lillian is packed with a wide array of warm analog phaser goodness.

Multi stage? Yep, the “Stages” switch allows you to quickly select 4 or 6 ‘stages’ which alters the overall voice of the effect from beautiful warm and tight phasing with 4 stages, on to a more complex, filtered sound with 6 stages. It means you get more range in one compact enclosure.

The D-P-V knob lets you blend between dry, phase shifted, and vibrato sounds, again allowing for a wide range of control over the intensity and type of effect you want to dial in to your liking or style.

Borrowed from the amazing Julia, the unique blend between Dry, Chorus and Vibrato has also been provided on the Lillian. You can easily blend the effect between Dry, Phase Shifted, and Vibrato. This Dry-Phase-Vibrato blend changes the ratio of dry to wet signal sent to the output. At minimum settings, you will hear no effect. Set it to straight up noon for equal parts dry and wet – this is the traditional Phaser setting. Or set it to maximum for 100% wet, resulting in stunning pitch vibrato. Walrus Audio suggest exploring the ground between minimum and noon for adding slight amounts of movement to your dry signal. Then explore again between noon and maximum for all sorts of unheard phase/vibrato combinations.

If you’re familiar with Walrus Audio you know what’s on offer, and this is another great pedal that looks and sounds fantastic. Oh, and in case you’re wondering… Apparently, though we’ve not verified this, the name comes from pilot Lillian Yonally, who was a member of the Woman Air Force Service Pilots, made up of over 1,000 women who volunteered to fly in the military to help while men were away fighting.
